Comprehensive youth reentry programs have the ability to lower recidivism rates, increase public safety, and help youth develop into productive citizens. However, the juvenile justice system lacks the programs necessary to support youth as they reenter their communities. In this policy platform, the National Juvenile Justice Network offers recommendations to ensure youth are reconnected to schools, services and family supports.
