
Julius C. Chaidez serves as the Policy Associate for the NJJN’s Fiscal Policy Center.
Mr. Chaidez conducts research and policy analysis for the Fiscal Policy Center, assists with on-site regional trainings, provides technical assistance, and develops Fiscal Policy Center resources. Prior to joining NJJN, Mr. Chaidez worked at the Seattle nonprofit Northwest Federation Community Action (NWFCO) as a public policy intern; NWFCO provides a collective voice to a national coalition of eight state-based grassroots community organizations to address economic, racial, and social inequities. At NWFCO, he drafted memoranda on the financial sector in order to develop/implement research on the effects of the banking crisis. In addition, Mr. Chaidez worked with the Social Security Administration as an employee in the Disability Processing Branch. During his tenure there, he led and instructed/monitored all daily assignments to a medical consulting staff of twelve. Mr. Chaidez holds a B.A from National-Louis University in Chicago, Illinois and a Masters in Public Policy focusing on monetary policy from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California.
